Chronic, non-healing wounds, those that haven’t shown signs of improvement in several weeks or are not responding to typical treatments, need extra help to heal. Difficult wounds of this type are often caused by injury, disease or poor blood supply. South Texas Regional Medical Center provides specialized treatment for these types of wounds.
South Texas Regional Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center has been providing comprehensive wound care management for patients with difficult-to-heal wounds since 1985, utilizing the expertise of our certified wound care specialty staff. With the move to the South Texas Medical Plaza in the fall of 2013, South Texas Regional Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center has upgraded the hyperbaric chambers to larger 36" compartments with individually controlled flat-screen televisions for patients to view during treatments.
