STR’s August Healthy Woman Ends Family Summer Series

South Texas Regional Medical Center’s Healthy Woman sponsored, Family Summer Series, concluded last Thursday, August 7 with an evening presentation titled, “Role Reversal and Caring for Our Elderly Parents.”

Thanks to guest presenters Melanie Strange of Argent Court Assisted Living; Carol Brock of Vista Care; Brandi Villalobos of The Heights and Otis White of Edward Jones, members of our community are now better equipped to make challenging life decisions.

This talented team of professionals combined their expertise to provide a comprehensive overview of the preparation needed to successfully satisfy the individualized needs of each person when preparing for life after retirement. Key elements of the presentation included information on financial planning for retirement, assisted living options, and expected coverage from both private insurance and Medicare.
