(June 2, 2008) Pleasanton, TX—South Texas Regional Medical Center (STRMC) celebrates the newly completed renovations of the STR Sleep Center by hosting an opening house for the community on Thursday, June 5, 2008.
The open house event will begin at twelve o'clock noon in the lobby of STR's Heart and Lung Center. STR's Administrative staff cordially welcomes members of the community to attend. Complimentary group tours throughout Center's diagnostic rooms will be provided between the hours of twelve o'clock noon and two o'clock in the afternoon.
Tours allow guests the opportunity to see firsthand the Center's private patient rooms, which mimic the look and feel of an actual hotel room setting. Each room serves as an observation site for hundreds of diagnostic sleep evaluations that are performed as the patient sleeps just as they would in their own home.
The results complied in the nightly evaluation allow physicians to determine the existence and treatment plan for any identifiable sleep disorders.
Treatment plans are individualized and may include a range of medications, sleep equipment and even customized weight loss planning to help improve the patient's sleep patterns.
Are you a candidate for a sleep evaluation?
Do you or your spouse exhibit two or more of the following symptoms:
- ARE YOU TIRED THROUGHOUT THE DAY?
- DO YOU TOSS AND TURN AT NIGHT
- DO YOU FEEL IRRITATED AND RESTLESS DURING THE DAY?
- DO YOU SNORE?
- DO YOU HAVE A HISTORY OF HYPERTENSION?
- IF YOUR NECK SIZE >17" (MALES) OR > 16" (FEMALES)?
If you answered yes, then you may be a good candidate for a sleep evaluation. We welcome you to attend this open house event to gain a better perspective on the sleep treatments options available here locally.
STRMC's Open House Event will include an invocation ceremony by The Cowboy Fellowship, a ribbon cutting ceremony, center tours and refreshments. Reservations are not necessary to attend. For further information, please call Laurie Carnevale at 830-769-3515.
