August Healthy Woman slated to conclude STR’s Family Summer Series
South Texas Regional Medical Center’s Healthy Woman sponsored, Family Summer Series, is set to conclude on Thursday, August 7 with an evening presentation titled, “Role Reversal and Caring for Our Elderly Parents.”
The focus of the presentation will be to impart knowledge to Healthy Woman members to help them plan or overcome the everyday challenges that caring for one’s aging parent presents. A team of professionals from a variety of outlets will relay information to ease the decision-making process regarding: home-based care with the aid of healthcare professionals; assisted living care options; the cost of financially supporting parental dependants and financial planning.
Guest speakers for the event will include Melanie Strange of Argent Court Assisted Living; Carol Brock of Vista Care; Brandi Villalobos of The Heights and Otis White of Edward Jones.
The event will take place tomorrow, August 7th at six o’clock in the evening at the Healthy Woman Center located at 1320 W. Oaklawn Suite L.
