South Texas Sleep Diagnostics Offers Platinum Partnership
(Jourdanton, TX—October 28, 2009) South Texas Sleep Diagnostics (STSD) is the fifth local business to join the Platinum Partner echelon by pledging their support for the Healthy Woman 5th Anniversary Celebration, to be held on November 5th 2009. Their generous contribution of $2,000 better enables the program to continue to provide engaging and educational health and wellness services to the 1,300 members of the organization.
The Healthy Woman program’s mission is to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to make informed healthcare and well-being decisions for themselves and their loved ones. Mr. & Mrs. Victor “Trae” and Joanie Gaenzel, owners of South Texas Sleep Diagnostics, also believe this is their life’s mission.
STSD was founded by Victor “Trae” Gaenzel III. Trae is a Pleasanton High School Alumni, who went on to receive his Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Management Science from the of at . Trae has been in the field of sleep medicine for more than 17 years. He holds credentials of RPSGT from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
Trae understands the world of sleep medicine from all aspects. His education prepared him for his professional work which began as a night polysomnographic technologist and progressively led to his founding of his own sleep center.
His wife, Joanie, is also a proud Pleasanton High School Alumni. She completed academic studies at Texas Tech before moving to to purse a career in marketing. Together, the Gaenzels now proudly own and operate three sleep center locations in south .
Their unique business provides healthcare providers the tools and technology to offer advanced sleep studies within smaller, more rural locations. Their astute partnership with healthcare facilities throughout Atascosa, Uvalde, and translates into thousands of healthier residents each year. If not for their services, many residents of these smaller communities would be forced to travel great distances to receive sleep diagnostic studies.
Instead, local healthcare facilities like that of , can offer advanced sleep diagnostic testing within the local community for their patients. Patients can then easily receive follow-up care from their family practice physician and/or local pulmonologist without ever having to leave the county line.
Joanie Gaenzel says, “I myself am a resident of . As a woman of this community, I understand the pressure and responsibly of my many roles—business owner, wife and mother.” Gaenzel continues, “I’ve witnessed firsthand the investment that Healthy Woman makes in our female population each year when we offer free sleep evaluations at their annual Sleep Awareness event and Texas Size Health Fair. Just as they invest in our community, STSD will reinvest our resources into them.”
The Gaenzels are proud local supporters of the American Heart Association. Their family raises funds and participates in the yearly Heart Walk in tribute to their youngest son, Harrison, who was born with a heart condition that required extensive medical surgeries and care. The Gaenzels are appreciative for the clear bill of health that their son now has, and fundraise to help other families.
