STRMC Honors Top Performing Employees
South Texas Regional Medical Center (STR) honors their January Employee of the Month, Zach Liajas. He is a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who works on the evening shift for the Med/Surg Department Friday through Sunday. Liajas is currently attending college to garner his licensure as a Registered Nurse during the weekdays.
The STR Administrative Team, direct supervisor, Becky Belew, R.N., Director of Med/Surg, all gathered for an evening ceremony on Saturday, January 10th to honor him.

During the ceremony, Liajas was acknowledged for his accomplishments and commended for his exceptional performance.Liajas continually demonstrates devoted care for each of his patients, going so far as to make trips to local supermarkets to purchase items of necessity for his patients while hospitalized. Liajas was presented with a personalized Employee of the Month certificate and bonus check as a reward for his achievement.
