Save the Date! STRMC’s 7th Annual Texas Size Health Fair is soon to come!
 

South Texas Regional Medical Center (STRMC) 7th Annual Texas Size Health Fair is just around the corner. This health fair event historically serves nearly 500 area residents, providing free health fair.

This year's event is scheduled for Thursday, September 25, from 3pm to 7pm at STRMC located at 1905 Hwy 97 East, Jourdanton, Texas.

STRMC will be coordinating free screenings including: PSA's (prostate specific antigen test for men over 40), cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes testing, pulse oximetry, grip strength, body composition, medicine analysis (bring all of your medications that you regularly take) and child fingerprinting. The Pleasanton Lions Club Mobile Eye Screening Unit will also be available, and Walgreens will offer free osteoporosis screenings to the public.

Additional services being planned for the event include the STRMC Certified "Buckle Up Kids" program. Certified Passenger Safety Technicians are scheduled to provide free installation and education on the proper use of child safety seats.

Refreshments will be available along with great door prizes from exhibitors and local businesses. HEB Buddy and Reddy Teddy will also be on hand to entertain the kids. Children will also enjoy tours of the Airlife helicopter, Atascosa County EMS and Texas Regional EMS ambulances.
