2008 Go Pink Gala Platinum Partners Power Event!
Cosmic Creations* Pleasanton Express* Rhinestone Cowgirls
(Jourdanton, TX)---The much awaited return of Healthy Woman's Go Pink Gala can be attributed in part thanks to a powerful pledge of support by local businesses. Leading the way for support of the event are the 2008 Platinum Partners, Cosmic Creations, Pleasanton Express and Rhinestone Cowgirls.
All three partners have each generously donated over two thousand dollars in sponsorship to help fund this event, which has come to mark the annual close of the free monthly health seminars that South Texas Regional's Healthy Woman program provides to our community.
The significance of the program rests in its ability to conveniently deliver free, accurate and timely health information to the members of our community on a consistent and ongoing basis. The Healthy Woman program acts as a platform for women to gather, ask questions about health and medical topics and meet leaders in the medical industry. The information shared at the Healthy Woman events has helped women make more informed decision-making in regards to both their personal health needs and the needs for those that they care for such as spouses, children and parents.
With goals of sharing information of sustenance on an ongoing basis, naturally, the Pleasanton Express is a perfect fit for partnership with Healthy Woman. The local newspaper has been a formidable supporter of the Healthy Woman program since its inception to the community. The newspaper has contributed to the continual growth and development of the program on a multitude of levels. The Pleasanton Express has always communicated to its readers updates about the accomplishments and upcoming events sponsored by Healthy Woman. The organization's editor, Sue Brown Elizondo, is a former Healthy Woman Advisory Council member. Through her role, she collaborated in the development of new seminar topics for the 2006-2007 calendar year, as well as help coordinate the annual Go Pink Gala. Mike Pierce, South Texas Regional CEO says, "The Healthy Woman program is very appreciative of the support provided by Pleasanton Express. They are such a respected and well-received medium which has proven quintessential to the growth of our program."
Cosmic Creations has undertaken a large responsibility for this year's event. Jodi Smith and her team of floral designers will be the brainchild behind the event's tablescapes. A mix of roses and exotic hydrangeas will become the centerpieces for each guest table. Smith's experience in creating floral masterpieces will add a touch of feminine sophistication to the gala.
Maggie Hudson of Rhinestone Cowgirls, a popular women's specialty boutique located in Pleasanton, can relate to Healthy Woman's overall goal of catering to the health needs of the women of this community and creating strides towards the overall improvement of their lifestyle. Rhinestone Cowgirls specializes in delivering uniquely beautiful accessories that enrich the lives of the women who sport their merchandise. Her clients personalities are transformed with increased confidence when wearing a specialty item that her boutique offers.
A similar reaction can be seen on the faces of the loyal Healthy Women members after leaving a monthly health seminar. Danielle Flores, Healthy Woman program coordinator says, "Healthy Woman members leave each event with a renewed energy and positive outlook, which comes from the feeling of self-satisfaction by knowing that they have just invested valuable time in themselves." In respect to the partnership with Rhinestone Cowgirls, Flores goes on to say,"The accessories that Rhinestone Cowgirls offer make women feel beautiful and that beauty builds an unshakable sense of empowerment that immediately becomes infused into them. I think Healthy Woman and Rhinestone Cowgirls are a perfectly suited partnership that enrich the lives of local women by catering to different intrinsic needs."
