Jourdanton, TX– Members of the South Texas Regional Medical Center's Senior Circle just added a new addition to their inner circle! M. Alejandra Moreno, M.D., specializing in pediatrics, recently visited with Senior Circle members during their September Lunch-n-Learn event.
Dr. Moreno discussed the upward trend in the United States, which reports that more than 4 million children under 18 live in grandparent-headed households. She gave great advice to help members prepare themselves for any healthcare decision-making roles that they may undertake for their grandchildren.
Dr. Moreno says, "It is critical that a caregiver for a child be prepared to provide medical attention when needed. Knowing a child's allergies, current medications and insurance information are essential to enabling healthcare providers the tools needed to provide fast and proper care in an emergency."
The Senior Circle Lunch-n-Learn members thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to have met our area's newest pediatrician. On behalf of STR's Senior Circle chapter, we extend a warm welcome to Dr. Moreno.
