The Three Rivers Family Health Center is a Rural Health Center that focuses on providing primary health care to Live Oak County. The clinic is staffed with two midlevel practitioners and Dr. Alan P. Crowther serves as the Medical Director.

*Walk in visits are available Monday through Friday. Appointments have priority.

Providers

M. Julie Cobb, RN, FNP joined the Three Rivers clinic in January of 2008. Cobb garnered a Master of Science in Nursing, and a certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Women's University in Denton and is a member the Texas Nurse Practitioner's Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

No stranger to service in the community of Live Oaks, Cobb proudly comes to TRFHC after serving as the local Nurse Practitioner at George West for the past year and a half. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioner's association and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.

Verlis W. Felkins, Jr., PA-C, LAT, has rejoined the STR team. Felkins formerly served as a Physician Assistant for STR with Alan P. Crowther, M.D., at the Three Rivers Clinic from 2001 through 2006. Felkins received his Bachelor of Science as a Physician Associate from the University of Oklahoma. He later completed the United States Army Physician Assistant Program in Fort Sam Houston, TX. Felkins returns to our community with his wife and children to service Live Oak County patients.

Scheduling
Our office is open for scheduling appointments Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are closed for lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. To help us schedule the right amount of time for your visit, please let us know:

  • Which provider you want to see
  • Why you are being seen

If you need to be seen on a same day basis, please call first. This will allow our clinic staff to make the best arrangements for you and have your medical record available for the doctor. If you need to cancel an office visit, please notify us as soon as possible.
