South Texas Regional Medical Center has two admitting offices, one in the main lobby area and the other in the emergency room area.

Admission hours are from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday in the main admitting area and 24 hours in the ER admitting area.

To reduce your wait time and process time for admissions, we recommend that you bring with you:

1) Doctor's order,
2) Insurance cards,
3) Referral paperwork and
4) ID cards.

Be prepared to pay any copayments and/ or deductibles at the time of admission.

Other helpful information to bring with you includes a medical history (previous surgeries or medical conditions, allergies, etc.), a list of all medications you are currently taking and your Advance Directive, if you have one.

All patients are admitted to South Texas Regional Medical Center without regard to race, creed, color, sex, religion, ancestry, sexual orientation, martial status, national origin, economic status, educational background, or the source of payment for care.

All patient medical information is kept strictly confidential.
